Dear reader,
As I florist, avid gardener and artist, I was always inspired by working with the earth and all its botanical beauty. Until this day, I am amazed at how much there is still to learn about the wonderful world of plants. Mother Nature is a force that created one of the most diverse species on earth--the flower. With all their differing traits from fragrance to colours, textures to size, it is no wonder that the flower has become a mandatory guest at every celebratory event since the ancient Egyptian period.
Curious about what other people throughout past centuries thought about these incredible creatures, I began my research into the meaning of flowers. I quickly realized that each flower had its own history, lore, healing powers, symbolism and some even believe that they have a soul. From my own experience and research, I present to you my take on The Language of Flowers…
